Located on the edge of the Texas Medical Center and within Hermann Park, The Houston Zoo is a 55 acre zoological park housing 6,000+ animals of more than 600 species. Each year approximately 2.1 million visitors visit The Houston Zoo – making it the second most visited zoo in the United States.
